Olympic Inspiration
“I am building a fire, and every day I train, I add more fuel.
At just the right moment, I light the match.”
- Mia Hamm
Double Olympic Champion in Soccer
I’ve been watching the Olympics all week and it reminded of this old riddle:
There are five birds sitting on a wire. 3 decide to fly off. How many are left?
Did you guess 2? Nope, the answer is 5.
“Wait..What??”
Deciding to do something is not taking action. It’s ok, we all do it… talk a big game and then shy away from stepping forward. It’s human nature, however nothing happens without action. Actions always speak louder than words.
Heck, being a Virgo, I have been super guilty of that! My “perfectionism” has held me back more times than I care to admit.
So here’s my Question of the Week for you… What are you waiting for?
For the ‘right’ time?
For the ‘right’ person?
For the ‘right’ opportunity?
Ok, now that you know what you’re waiting, just do it anyway.
Truth Bomb:
You ARE the right person
This IS the right time… and
Action CREATES opportunities
Just Do it!
I wish I had known earlier that failure is the only option, the only path, to success. Had I known that, I would have sprinted towards that imperfect path, excited and eager to make a mess in order to learn and grow!
I love this quote by Danny Kaye… “Life is a great big canvas. Throw all the paint you can at it!”
Girl… Get out there this week and throw your light on the world like an Olympian!
Take Action! Love you. Proud of you!
